Famous M’sian Actor Arrested After Being Accused of Sexually Assaulting 17yo Girl in a Hotel Room

The police arrested a well-known Malaysian singer and actor after he was alleged to have sexually assaulted an underage girl.

In an official statement by PDRM in Petaling Jaya, District Police Chief Shahrulnizam Bin Ja’afar said that the 17-year-old victim met the celebrity at a cafe in KL where she worked. Both of them had known each other for three months when the man invited the victim to meet at a hotel.

Police, however, have not revealed the identity of the celebrity in question

A report was lodged by the victim’s mother on June 2 (Monday), and PDRM arrested the actor the following day around 2:54 PM. He was detained before being released on police bail.

However, the matter is still being investigated under Section 14(a), Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 (Act 792). Principal Assistant Director of the Sexual, Women, and Children Division (D11), Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department, Senior Assistant Commissioner Siti Kamsiah Hassan said that the victim had also met the actor several times before the suspect took the victim to the hotel.

Earlier, a 22-year-old TikToker turned himself in to the police for allegedly sending indecent images of his private part to an underage girl. The said TikToker was also released on police bail but is still being investigated by the police.
