Taking to social media, a distressed netizen posted a video showing how she became a victim at the hands of her partner, who assaulted her during a brief meeting near Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur.
In the video, the woman is seen pushing her partner before he retaliates with a punch, followed by a flurry of blows.
The video, which has garnered over 700,000 views, captures the disturbing incident.
“When I tried to talk to him, he showed me his rage. He even punched me in the video,” she wrote.
While not much information has been provided about the incident, a corresponding tweet from the man’s female friend offered a different perspective:
“The guy in the video is a friend of mine. He told me the full story of what happened. In truth, the girl is equally guilty of provoking him.”
“I acknowledge that hitting someone is wrong, but the girl is also at fault. The police have been informed, and investigations are underway,” she wrote.
“If my friend is truly at fault, he is still free, while the girl has turned off the comments section on her TikTok.”
Clearly, something is amiss. Netizens, however, remain firm in their stance—stating that abuse is never justified.
“No matter the reason, abusing your partner is unacceptable.”
One user wrote, “You can always choose to walk away from a relationship without resorting to confrontation or risking your future.”
