Malaysian philanthropist, Uncle Kentang, recently learned not to mess with the deceased after a worker claimed that an angry spirit caused a ruckus at the forensics department, where her body was being housed, after a wig that the woman wore when she was alive had been removed.
Taking to his Facebook page, he shared how the deceased was a cancer patient and all paranormal activities stopped after her wig was returned to her body before her cremation.
“Please put back her crown”
This all started when the woman, who had no next of kin, passed away in March 2025, and Uncle Kentang was called in to assist with her final rites.
“I was given the honour to assist in her last journey. As I was signing all the necessary papers, a forensics guy warned me, ‘Please put back her crown‘,”
“He related his harrowing experience in dealing with the dead body. He was on duty, and he heard some noise from the mortuary. He went to investigate and found that the sound was from the deceased woman’s compartment. Each time he was on duty, the sounds would emit from this compartment of the said deceased person,” he shared.
The police took almost 2 months to search for the deceased woman’s next of kin, and the sounds coming from her compartment continued throughout that time, causing the staff to feel uneasy.
The staff decided to find a solution
They decided to look into the deceased woman’s hospital records, tracked her last admission to the emergency department and reached out to the staff members there.
“Immediately, the staff at the emergency department remembered her. She had a big disagreement with the staff there for TOUCHING HER ‘CROWN’,”
The staff quickly learned that the deceased woman had worn a wig when her hair started to fall out due to the cancer treatments.
“She warned the hospital staff not to let her be without her wig,” he explained.
However, the staff at the forensic department did not recall a wig when picking up the woman’s body following her passing. After making some calls, they found the wig left at the ward and placed it with the woman’s body.
“Surprisingly, after placing the wig beside her body, that night all the kicking sounds in her compartment stopped. No more ruffling sounds from that compartment.”
Considering the noises stopped AFTER the wig was returned to her body, the forensic staff urged Uncle Kentang to place her wig back on her head for her last rites and cremation (which he did as he did not want to anger the deceased).
He also provided her with a beautiful funeral and scattered her ashes at the Pulau Ketam Jetty in Selangor.
