The viral corn vendor in Sepang has broken the silence and responded to the written racial slur displayed at his stall.

In a TikTok video, the vendor, Abdul said he realised that the notice was offensive but it was not his intention to insult the Malaysian Indians.

“I admit that it was my fault and I apologise to all Malaysians, especially to all Indians in Malaysia.”

“It was not my intention at all. I never expected things would turn out this way, and I am really at fault. Once again, I seek forgiveness from the Malays, Chinese, and Indians in Malaysia.”

Abdul also expressed his hope to see Malaysians continue supporting him as the vendor of a small business.

The apology was made last night (February 16) in Sepang through a meeting organised by the leaders of the Neighborhood Watch Area (KRT), who acted as mediators in resolving this issue to ensure the country’s unity remains harmonious.

Meanwhile, in his X post @AaronAgoDagang, the Minister of National Unity, Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang, emphasised that all parties must always strive to ensure that every word and action does not create tension in a multi-racial society.

“National unity can only be achieved if each individual practices the values of understanding, respecting, and accepting differences.”

Earlier, Abdul went viral after a written racial slur was spotted at his corn stall in Sepang. The offensive remark stated,

“Sorry, we don’t sell this to k*l*ng.”

Abdul was also said to have taken out his phone and recorded the woman who confronted him about the signage.

What do you think of Abdul’s apology?
