In response to the death of the elderly man who was found in the kitchen of his house with a stab wound, PDRM has confirmed his cause of death.
It was a gunshot wound to his chest.
In an official statement by Ipoh District Police Chief Abang Zainal Abidin, he said the body of the elderly man in his 50s was found on Tuesday night (June 24) after they received a call about the matter at 8:26 PM.
Abang Zainal also confirmed the earlier report about the stab wound on his stomach and a slicing mark on his chest, but the gunshot wound on his chest, which has been confirmed as the cause of death, came after the autopsy.
The next morning, police arrested a 31-year-old suspect to assist with the investigation. It was previously reported that the arrested suspect is the deceased’s son, who lived together with him. In Abang Zainal’s statement, however, PDRM did not reveal the identity of the suspect.
