The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) is currently in the process of investigating a 10-second video of a woman posing naked in front of the viral Maybank branch in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

According to a report by Oriental Daily, the video, which was originally posted on a Chinese social media platform and later circulated on WhatsApp, showcases the woman posing in front of the Maybank branch while lifting up her clothes.

Kota Kinabalu police chief, Assistant Commissioner Kasim Muda, said that an investigation into the video has since been launched, aiming to find out the identity and background of the person who filmed the indecent video.

“The police will seek assistance from the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia to investigate the person who posted the video and their background,” he shared.

This case will be investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code, which surrounds indecent acts. If convicted, the person involved can be sentenced to up to 5 years in jail or a fine, or both.

Considering the Chinese social media platform’s watermark and the appearance of the woman in the video, it is believed that she could be a tourist. Kasim added that should she truly be a tourist, further action will be taken and they may be banned from entering Malaysia.
